How to pay for ChatGPT and Claude from Russia ​

You can pay for ChatGPT Plus on chatgpt.com and for Claude on claude.ai with the Aura virtual Visa card: top up the card from your USDT balance, turn on a VPN (USA for ChatGPT; USA or Singapore for Claude) and enter the card details on the website. The first time takes about 20 minutes from scratch; after that, a couple of minutes.

What it costs ​

  • Card issue: 20 USDT, once.
  • Card top-up: the purchase amount plus a 2% fee, minimum 10 USDT.

For example, for a $20 subscription you need about 43 USDT the first time: 20 USDT for the card and about 22.5 USDT to top it up with a margin and the fee. In later months, only the top-up.

Step 1. Get USDT and the card ​

  1. Open the bot @AuraWalletTG_bot in Telegram and launch the app.
  2. Put USDT on your balance. Either send USDT on TRON (TRC-20) from an exchange or another wallet (no identity check), or buy USDT with rubles via SBP (needs a one-time check of your Russian internal passport and a selfie).
  3. Issue the card: Карты → Виртуальная → Оформить карту → Оплатить 20 USDT (Cards → Virtual → Order card → Pay 20 USDT). It is usually ready within a few minutes; no identity check is needed.
  4. Top up the card with the subscription amount plus a small margin: Карты → Пополнить (Cards → Top up).

Step 2. Pay for ChatGPT Plus ​

  1. Turn on a VPN with a US location and keep it on until payment is done.
  2. On chatgpt.com, log in, tap Upgrade plan and choose a plan. Check that prices are in dollars ($); if not, the site didn't detect the USA: check the VPN and reload.
  3. Enter the number, expiry and CVC from Карты → Реквизиты карты (Cards → Card details). The details are shown for 60 seconds.
  4. If the form asks for a name and address, enter your name in Latin letters and a US address.
  5. If the bank asks for a code, it appears in the app in the «Код 3DS» (3DS code) window and in the chat with the Aura bot. It is valid for 2 minutes.

A promotional subscription with $0.00 due today won't go through: subscribe without the promotion.

Step 3. Pay for Claude ​

  1. Turn on a VPN in the USA or Singapore and remember the country: the billing address must be in the same country.
  2. If your Claude account was just created, don't pay right away: make a few requests first, so the payment goes through more reliably.
  3. On claude.ai, choose a plan via Upgrade or Settings → Billing and enter the card details.
  4. Enter an address in the same country as the VPN and your name in Latin letters.
  5. If Claude asks to verify your identity, tap Start and photograph a document and your face; for example, a Russian passport or a driving licence works.
  6. Confirm with the 3DS code if the bank asks for it.

In the card history these payments appear as ANTHROPIC. With a Singapore VPN the charge may be in Singapore dollars; the bank converts it into the card's dollars, so the total may differ slightly.

FAQ ​

Why pay on the website and not in the iPhone app? In the ChatGPT and Claude iPhone apps, subscriptions are sold by the App Store. It is simpler to pay on the website and log in to the same account in the app: the subscription works there too.

Do I need a passport for the Aura card? No, the card is issued without an identity check. A Russian passport check is only needed if you buy USDT with rubles via SBP.

Where do I get a billing address? Use an address in the same country as your VPN and the service account. Country mismatch is the most common reason a payment fails.

The payment was declined. What now? The bot sends «Платёж не прошёл» (Payment failed) with the reason if the bank gave one. If the card lacked funds, top it up and try again. Money for a declined payment is not deducted.

Will the subscription renew automatically? Yes, so keep enough on the card for the next charge.
